It's All about Kasma...

Let's Share!

Have you ever thought of attending any marriage convention with your friends in 5 years down the road?

We never had, but we attended yesterday, for the very first time. The girls, as usual, the runners.hehehehe... I booked it online, while Hajar went to Sistic counter. The guys, "Tell us the details je..." attitude. Typical!

And since this marriage convention starts at 9.30 am, we agreed to have our breakfast first. As early as 7.30am, we were at Mcdonalds, Raffles City Shopping centre. Newly opened, but dissappointed with the seats, my butt hurts!!!! over sausage mcmuffins, filet-o-fish, mcgriddles, hashbrowns we filled up over tummies.

We reached Suntec Convention on time. Most of them came as couples, and we salute those more than 20-30 years of marriage. These pakciks and makciks dressed in same color code, and still hold hands and there's one couple, who was spotted by the speaker that he placed his arm over his wife's shoulder throughout the entire seminar and the speaker made the cameraman took a picture of them. So loving, masyallah.... Amin!

The speakers are from SuChi Success, none other than the couple, Mr Khair and Mrs Suriati. We love their approaches about, kasih sejati and marriage. Ali and I attended their Kasih Sejati marriage prep course. We love them, an inspiring couple.

We hope, next time, the duration will be extended. Seriously, not enough! hahahaha... but for us, it was a refresher course. We have goodie bags, in which we tried to fold it and kept it in our own bags! The seminar ended at 12 noon.

Since all of us were free, its a date then. We caught Confession of Shopaholic at Marina after a snack at Starbucks, where we crowned someone as the Master of Confusion.hahaha, remain as secret! hahaha... next agenda, for Ali especially, he needed FOOD. We had 2 hours of barbecued food at Seoul Garden. A little shopping, I think (cos its just me and Ali who bought something) before we headed to Orchard to meet Masnor. Had snacks over at Cahaya. Took a group photo, and we slept in the train. Yes, the 5 of us were knocked out!

Tell me, how can you not have such fun with your friends. Tell me, how can I not treasure these people. Tell me, how can I thank them for their company. Tell me, how can I not love them. Thanking them can never be enough, for sure. Allah, keep them safe and give them happiness! Amin... Masnor, YanChip, and Hajar, Thank You!

Md Ali, we agreed with those choices we opted for. We agreed with a lot of things in the future. And I am pleased that you agreed to be my Imam for the rest of my life, Insyallah...Amin....

for everyone

I've been busy with many many stuffs. Not to mention, my non-stop laboratory reports and class tests and exams. But the excitements spared for May agenda. Insyallah, everything will be fine. Lots of prayers...

Today is 23 March, and in 1 month time, I will sit for my final exam (after almost 3 years). I wonder, how's my feelings gonna be like. But I guess, I will miss my classmates and laboratory partners. Already now, I miss taking 855 eversince my campus shifted. Our long waiting time at laboratory practical lessons and our intention to skip lectures, cos they are just too boring! 1 more month, and I will treasure this moment...... :)

May is coming, everybody keep on reminding us. Everything is going on pretty steady. Alhamdulillah. We are thankful, having our supportive family members. Wouldnt want to elaborate more for now. We really pray that everything will be smooth, everyone will be in good health, and everyday will mark precious moments we have with them.

To our beloved friends, you know who you are. You know how special you are to us. Thousand thanks to you. You people are way more excited than the both of us, I think. Hahahahahahahaha...

To Muhd Ali, last night was hilarious. My apologies, I couldnt re-enact it that well. But it was fun. And I truly agree with you - if this happened way much earlier, it will be more fun.

We have gone a long way, relatively a long journey together. We have many friends, but not everyone is a true friend. Any friend can smile, joke and laugh together. But true friends can smile when they sense those sweet moments, true friends can joke and laugh when there's a need to cheer each other up, true friends can sit and lend their ears to listen to our problems, true friends can forgive despite how minor or major the miscommunication is, true friends lend their shoulders to cry on with plenty advices in their head, true friends hold our hands to give us their support and in short, true friends are friends whom we love the most.

We have made other friends wondering how, when and where it began. Even our President wasnt convinced initially, until we had our "closed door" meeting just for the 3 of us at Musollah. Once, we were discovered, there were friends that went jumping up and down, smiling and mostly went laughing. But there were friends that claimed to be our friends but ended up stabbing us. We learnt to forgive and forget and life goes on. It does.

To those we hurt, we believe you have found your better companions who can embrace you with more loves and happiness.

To our very own true friends (I think you guys know who you are), we will continue to love you. Thank you for accepting our "invitation". That invitation is exclusively for those who are special in our hearts.

We promise to keep a little secret. A secret will reveal when the day comes. Insyallah. Amin!

I have been in AMKSS for almost 4.5 years. Alhamdulillah, praises to Allah. And I have experienced a couple of emergency exercise, part of the Wardant Team. First exercise, was the best - Fire Emergency exercise, an explosive occurred in Biology Lab. Happening cos Civil Defence, Ambulance, Police and many other teams involved, not forgetting the production crews. Hahaha.. best actress was my very own colleague, Shuli who acted as the traumatised lab tech and she got to break that fire alarm thingy! Congrats!!!! That year Terence Tan and Siti were still around!

Following year was In-Place Protection exercise. Got to seal up all windows and set up in-room toilet. Full of sweats and we suffocated in the classroom. Last year, was the Bomb Threat. As Wardant team, we were the last to leave as we got to check every single classrooms and to rescue those trapped or traumatised students. In short, we will be the first to die! Hahaha..students were evacuated to the nearest HDB void decks!

And so Feb 13 (Friday), it was the Avian Flu exercise. Wardant teams must report at 6.15am. Yes, super duper early! Gotta be at the respective school gates before the students report. We were all ready with our N95 masks and gloves. Some students laughed at me, and I often repeated my questions to them and got confused..... I asked " Do you have fever today? Flu? Cough? Running Nose? Headache? Tummyache?....and why your eyes are watery?".... and one of the student emotionally whining at me... "Teacher...Im very tired...So tired....".... The simulators (most from Drama club) came in with a tag; headache, fever... too obvious I would say..and there's only 1 at our gate!

So what if it's a V day? I dont celebrate it, we dont celebrate it. Worst, I had practical from 1 to 9pm (no joking, I finished at 815pm) and Ali was in morning shift. The weekend was rather busy days for us. We attended different wedding invitations with our own family members.

Mine was my niece's pinkish wedding. Even her siblings, aunties, uncles, cousins were dressed in Pink! First time ever, my sisters were sabo-ed to be on the dias stage to play a game. Mime Hindustani songs. 3rd sister and hubby won it, chosen by the bride's parents. Some of us karaoke-d, some just need shelter under the scrotching sun. The bride and groom sang My Heart, and their thank-you speeches. very emotional indeed. Congrats Suriani and Razali!

There goes my weekend... with my non-stop 1-9pm practical on Saturdays.

Ali, our prayers on 17 February appointment. arghh....

I love frogs. (but I hate and scared of cats) .. lately, managed to get a Froggy Swatch - the kids edition and thats the last piece. I'd made the sales girl to polish the best she could. Nevertheless, Im happy with my watch. Hahahahaha...(though its super loose, and actually i gotta punch another 2 or 3 holes, bt didnt)

And we paid a visit to Masturah's house for her Mustaqim's diapercake. And guess what? There's froggy bib for him! Cute! Nice work done from Whims&Fancies.

And not forgetting, my date with Mr Froggy at Rasa Sentosa (its a rubbish bin actually!).

A corner of my desk is full of froggy stuffs; small bin, mirror, cup, clips and soft toys and a pillow! I love frogs because it's green!

And i know, this entry is such a random thingy. Just to jot down this today; I burnt my left thumb in the lab while trying to make the fractional distillation column straight upright but I was "dumb", as the bunsen burner was already on. And silly Kasma, touched the hot tripod stand! Painful!!! See that white spot (it turns blisters if I peel it off!)

Hafizah, yes. Nice feeling peeling it but hey painful....so now im trying to keep in softer! Hope my fingers are not too itchy!

Few days back, I read my second cousin's blog. We are both quiet but we became childhood companions in the family when we were younger. She's the only girl who is of same era in our big family, and so we cliqued. We seldom meet these days as we busy with work, but each time we bumped in Bus 851, we gossipped! hahahahahaha... Back to her blog. It saddened me and burst into tears (believe me, my tears keep on flowing non-stop). A short little post, mentioning that her 8 chemotherapy sessions were over and the side effects were damn bad. She's losing her hairs (a lot!) and weight (pre-chemo leads to excessive vomitting). She was diagnosed with lymphoma last September. Next week, she will have her radiotherapy. Ya Allah, kuatkan semangat dan kesabaran. Dengan pohon, segala kepahitan ini berakhir dengan satu senyuman....Amin....

She promise me to make it in May. Insyallah, my prayers for you cousin. Always....

It was a long weekend. And without fail, our spirit was up for some celebrations. The typical barbecue at Sembawang Park.

I guess, the best birthday gift for my mum's 58th birthday was to see and hug my 12-years-never-see cousin, whom I regard him as my own brother cos he stayed with my family during kampung days. My mum and dad cried. My 2nd sis too. I cried. Only God knows the feeling. Allah is the Almighty. A reunion for us.

We overnight-ed. We had a night walk, from Sembawang Park to a coffeeshop at Blk 503A, and walked back. Long the way, we marched at the quiet road. Check out my video!

We had nasi lemak for breakfast, Thanks to my auntie who went home and specially cooked for us. Had great Rumah Dayak and Dog-and-Bone, much calories burnt!

A Family Day. Something that WE think it's a good practice in the future.

A Family Day, how excited!

One of the best Sunday ever. We had a wonderful 4-hour games session at The Mind Cafe, Prinsep Street. Yes, we enjoyed those hours with great strategy games and charades and bluffs and stacking those UNO. With those chips munchies and ice-creams as our desserts and not forgetting free flow soft drink!

Ali, Hajar and Masnor made a good team by scoring very high for the Charades. Chip, Najib and myself had bad frequency, hardly could figure out those Guesstures! Hajar and myself had made a loud collapse of UNO Stacko. Check out those videos captured by none other than Mak Eh and BoBoy!

Headed to Lau Pa Sat for some satays and prawns and Teh tarik. Yummy! and we shared stories about our crushes, ex-girlfriends, ex-boyfriends, dates and targets back in poly. Funny!

And while clearing my stacks of notes, I found this. One of those Exco31 minute written by me, all because our two secretaries were absent on that day. Peeps, those were almost 5 years ago. Time flies, and I miss those names there. Truly do missing working with u!

Hows your 2009 so far? It's almost a week!

We spent our 365th of 2008 shopping at Orchard, how sinful we were at Far East Plaza! Believe me, we merely spent less than 15 minutes in each shop, and flashed our NETS card out. Fuhh, never we walked along Orchard Road with many shopping bags - sungguhtakpercaya!

Among all the crowds there, we bumped into YanChip&Hajar. And we met later (after we did our respective shopping) at CoffeeBean, Paragon. We chilled till almost 12 midnight and we forgot, it's their 1st Tunangsary (they got engaged on 30 Dec 2007!)!

The fireworks were very beautiful along with pretty song. Yes, we watched it on TV only. Thought of heading to Esplanade, but after many thoughts, we chose to stay in. Later in the afternoon, I went to Kasyfi Hamzi so-called baby shower. He is the son of my dearest cousin Nur Hidayat and wife Sharifah Sophia. I missed the Doa Recital but I enjoyed the food! hehehe!

It's a Movie-mania weekend. We watched IP Man on Saturday, and Bedtime Stories on Sunday. Tell me, is Singapore that small? Haiz..while we were enjoying our Secret Recipe all-time favourite Chocolate Banana slice at Marina Square, there came YanChip&Hajar. After several hours later (they catch YESMAN, and we had a great walk), we settled at Lau Pa Sat for supper.

Sometimes, whenever the four of us get together, it reminds me those days. We all started with not much of a plan, not sure whats happen the next day. Now, individually we are excited with our next phase. We put high hopes, having the same flat, but we didnt get it. hehehehe..

those excitements definitely bring you happiness at the end of the day.

You guys are great company. YanChip&Hajar. Thank you!

Recently, we have fun with our "new" pastime. We initiated to so-call want to memartabatkan bahasa ibunda kita..so we kick-off with some pantuns. Most of them, there were stories behind each pantun, which I bet you guys out there can never figure it out, i hope! lol..

Few best (our favourites) for Preview here (more to come, cos too lazy to type hahahaha + must filter and censor some words lah...)

From Nurul to Me:

1) Buah chery, buah laici. Nari lu dapat MC?

2) Ia pasti terpahat di ingatan, Gua takkan pecahkan persahabatan. ****** bak intan, Gua bak setan!

3) Anak cina pergi ke ulu, mari sini dengar dulu. Takkan ku termalu-malu, Gua kasi terajang baru tau.

4) Lu jangan merepek, puas hati gua makan kerepek!

From Kasma to her:

1) Cik Huda main Playdo, pergilah Tido!

2) Lu panggil Mak, Gua panggil Mum. Gua rasa, Gua Demam!

3) Usahlah dikenang, cintai lah si **************.

4) Makan kerepek mononton tv, menonton filem soalnya hati. Siapa pilihan di dlm hati, ini semua ketentuan Illahi.

5) U play Uno, I play Playdo. I think u know, I nak tido!

More to come. A lot of filtering to do, names especially. hahahahahahahaha...

Nurul, help me to filter too!

for everyone

I hope all of you had fun during Aidiladha, on Monday. Unfortunately, this year I was down with fever and ulcers all over my tongue. Simply weak and lethargic. But hey, I still celebrated it with my beloved family and relatives. We stayed in due to the rain, and enjoyed the food. So this year, my mum cooked Nasi Jagung, Ayam masak merah, Acah Nenas, Sambal Goreng pengantin, Satay goreng, Kuah kacang, fried chicken wings and paru(lungs) and ketupats and lontongs. My eldest cousin ordered $50 bonesteaks. Nice, yummy, the bread were soft! Oishhi!

I was on medical leave on next day and took an urgent leave on Wednesday. The ulcers killing me!! Now, I am feeling much better. Alhamdulillah!

Nurul. You know her? Ok, Nurulhuda Binte Abdul Rahman. I bet you all know her! hahaha... (even my nieces and nephews keep on asking me "Meenachi baik?") Gosh, we can really hook due to our telepathy jokes. We do "gossip", but the issues we kept within ourselves. The most we will spread it among our 5 SENAFAS clan. A must each time we on the phone is to laugh and laugh and laugh, till the people surrounding us know who's on the phone.

Everyone is concern about you, Nurul, my dear friend. 5 SENAFAS clan forever behind you. Even my family members including my mum, my 3 sisters, my cousin, my nieces and nephews, and my NENEK, become your all-time favourite supporters naturally. We can even make a banner and shout it out loud. JUST GO FOR IT!

At this point, you (Nurul) must be laughing at this post. How random can this entry be? It's a challenge remember?!

Anyways, shout it out loud to all those December babies ; Nur Fateha (my niece), Md Akmal (my nephew - who keeps Nurul's big Winnie the Pooh!...it's been a year huh!) and Irsyad (my nephew - who loves to hug me and he's the one who keep asking abt Nurul!) ...  Wish you Happy Happy Happy Birthday!

Fateha (centre in purple). I hardly take photo with her!

My mischievious Akmal, going P5 next year!

My cuddly grown-up nephew Irsyad, who loves orange. eeeeee....

PS: It's time to shop and save!

The past weekends were wonderful. Despite the fact that my parents were at Malaysia with 2nd sister family (but now they are back safely) and the flooring of my 2 other rooms dislodged. We reported, cleared the rooms and they just finished with the hacking yesterday. Imagine, my tonnes of notes from Poly were all over stacked my living rooms, my bed was dismantled, my built-in desktop were removed totally and believe me, I couldnt find my things!

We camped in at my 3rd sister place who lives at 12th floor, same block as me. Thank God, or else we would have to pitch tents at Sembawang Park, ok this is kidding! And to all my beloved relatives, we are celebrating Hari Raya Haji at 12th floor too. My house gonna be full of dust and really need serious spring cleaning.

So back to my weekends. We attended a birthday party. My little niece Shasha NurSyafiqah and nephew Danish Hariz birthday. A simple cake cutting and birthday song definitely. Throughout the day, we played Twister and mini-Taboo (which me and 3rd sister bought earlier on the same day!).

Twister was fun. Kids were the most flexible. Ali had cramps (eh?!). It's a game of concentration and coordination. I had a bump too! With only 75 cards of Taboo and played over and over again, we knew all the words already. We even tried miming at it. A whole day of unspeakable fun!

Somewhere in the mid of last week, we went to Rasa Sentosa Resort. Yesh, the one and only hotel at Sentosa at the moment. Thanks to Ali's sister! We had great time cam-whoring at different angles in the room. I hope they enjoyed their night there too! The girls were jumpy and overly excited to enjoy their swimming next morning!

And not forgetting, the Imbiah Lookout guy. It's been almost 3 years. Spot the difference!

Oh, it's almost the end of 2008. It's time for me to look at my diary and round-up all the happy events for this whole year.

2009 is coming, few more days to go!

Our tradition: Jumpshot. Regardless whether you are a Mamang, Bibik or Anak Sedara! Couldnt believe, we did it in T3 with many people looking at us!

We had fun on Saturday night. We visited one of the Popeyes at Changi Airport, which was at T1. We simply had great laughters, with Mai's jokes, riddles and not forgetting, the best invention information and question like "Panas ke kat bawah tuh?" made us kekek non-stop!

Thanks to you people, my beloved nieces and nephews, and cousins! Great company and great phototaking sessions and you simply made my day! Thank you!

This was taken before Arinah had a great bump on her butt, just like an Humpty Dumpty!

Us, the girls. We really want that Christmas decors to be captured too!

I couldnt remember why were we opened our mouths..hehehe

I shouldnt have showed my teeth.

The Sembawang gangster No.1 (in the middle). Watch out for her, Wellington Circle!

I must say MICR3308 was a killer paper. I passed my previous MCQ 1, Alhamdulillah, and this 25% theory exam I took last night, worried me. Strong faith, I must have, Insyallah. Thank you to Muhammad Ali B Anwar aka Ali Setan aka ABANG Ali, for helping me to google the answers for my exam questions. All thanks to my PC, got virus-fied recently! And it was funny hearing Ali said those words like "Streptococcus", "Chlymadia" and worst "Zanamivir". It benefited you a lot cos now you know what's pandemic strain is all about. hehehehehe.. Thank you!

My wedding invitations are piling up. Without fail, I have been attending weddings since October. And suddenly, our mental clocked and said it out loud "It's a Final Countdown.." (won't spill any info here at this moment...ssshh!)

High School Musical 3. Watch it people! I watched twice. Got hooked with the songs and dance moves. First was with Fawwaz and Farwizah, who bullied me by pestering me to buy the HSM3 Combo Meal. Watching with kids had always been very KECOH - Farwizah asked me loudly, Bik Bik dah gelap dah gelap ah ... . I dragged Ali for the second time and he slept! ... anyway we thought it was a good musical movie, at least!

It's gonna be another weeks of buzzing bee me, finishing up my laboratory report (which I've not started yet!) to be submitted on 1 December. My perseverance level is hanging relentlessly.

Happy Birthday to all the November babies!

To all Haj Pilgrims, safe journey! Amin...

1 November 2008, (side track: happy tunangsary!)

ok, it was my MCQ Class Test 1, on Infection and Immunity module. Seriously, the paper was apparently an easy paper to FAIL! hahahaha.. though its MCQ, but having 5 choices that seem correct, how to choose!!! anyway, I tawakal and hope for the best. Amin!

My paper ended at 5.10pm. Thanks to Ali and Masnor cos they waited for me patiently at Tiong Bahru McDonalds (though they left the chilli sauce container only on the tray! chey!) And thousands thanks to Nurul for willingly to keep my notes for me (takkan boleh ku balas, serious) if not I had to carry it to Azila and Dzul wedding!

Yes, we went to the majestic wedding of Azila and Dzul! We joined the lonely ranger Firdaus who came earlier and started his meal! While waiting for the bride and groom to change, we accompanied Haddad, Zalinah and bf, Azlina and hubby! And of cos we took a picture with the Prince and Princess! Very Merah Mak Ngah!

Since the night was still young (lol!), we headed to the Most Happening Bishan (Firdaus's choice!), and chilled at CoffeeBean! Firdaus's Hazelnut ice blended was not bad, Ali and I had our typical Mocha Blended and our dearest Masnor tried Sunrise, that tasted like Antibiotics! He struggled to finish it! Tuh lah, asal tak tahu minum Kopi!

Firdaus and Masnor was trying to track the day when Ali and I got together. Hahaha, of course, it remain as our secret! I mean, the official date lah. Cos, they were tricked in our games! hahahahahaha.. and one thing we (Firdaus, Ali and I) would always remember was our personal meeting at Mushollah. The agenda was nothing to do with MLS, just US, we revealed! ... once again, Nanny Nanny Poo Poo to Masnor, who tried so hard to make me and Ali mentioned the DATE! Hahahahahaha...

Definitely, it was a great night to sit and talk and laugh at the same time. And to Masnor and Firdaus, we had a deal. A great deal, you both should remember!

To Firdaus, 3 of us agreed that "our" Exco31 was simply the best : Rancang dengan apa ada di tangan..... made 13 of us proud too, Mr President! Move on!!!!!!
